Uno Fogde, joka tunnetaan myös runoilijanimellä Sagg-Matt, asui täällä koko elämänsä 1903–1960. Hänen runojaan painettiin pääasiassa Vasabladetissa, varsinkin 1930- ja 1940-luvuilla. Uno Fogden elämää varjosti vakava sairaus. Siksi on yllättävää, että kun hänen kirjallista tuotantoaan käytiin läpi – yhteensä noin 100 runoa ja joitain murteella kirjoitettuja humoreskeja – ei näkynyt pienintäkään merkkiä hänen alakuloisesta mielialastaan ja traagisesta elämäntilanteestaan. Uno Fogde oli täysin seudun poika. Maalahden seutu oli hänen kotinsa ja tämä näkyi hänen kirjoituksissaan.

Sagg-Matt

Uno Fogde, also known as the poet Sagg-Matt, lived all his life 1903 -1960 in the yellow house on Mattlarsvägen next to the church. It was mainly in Vasabladet that his poems were printed, especially during the 1930s and 1940s. Uno Fogde's life passed under the pressure of a serious illness. Therefore, it is surprising that when his literary production went through - a total of about 100 poems and some prose humorous in dialect - there were no signs of minor tones that would indicate his mood and tragic life situation. Uno Fogde was entirely the son of the village. It was Malaxnejden that was his environment, and it is Malaxbygden that is reflected in his poetry.
